How to Make Your Own Baby Food - Continued

Continued from How to Make Your Own Baby Food

You also have the option of using fresh vegetables when making baby food. The process is going to be very similar. What you need to do first is make sure you wash the vegetables really good before you start. A thorough cleaning is needed to ensure that you have removed any chemicals that may have been used when raising the plants.

After you wash the fresh vegetables, the remaining steps are the same. Puree the food good, until it is a thin mixture. You can use this at the same time you make the food, later in the day or you can freeze it for later use.

What is the cost difference going to be between making your own and buying jar baby food? A small jar of baby food is equal to what it costs to make four meals (your four frozen amounts of baby food) so you can see making baby food is much less expensive than purchasing it!

The savings that you take from making your own baby food is going to add up fast. You can use this money to help purchase diapers, or if you are using cloth diapers, possibly you can use the extra money to treat yourself after the baby has finally gone to bed for the night!
