  • Use as weights as you walk.  Making a small slit into the ball fill the ball with a pound of melted lead.  Weigh a pound of lead, melt the lead and then pour into the small slit that you’ve placed it the tennis ball.  Keep in mind that you can add more than one pound.  Add two, three or more pounds of weight to give you more of a work out.

  • A hitch cover.  Many people use a tennis ball to cover a trailer hitch on the ball of their trucks and trailers to prevent dangers of someone getting hurt on the hitch.

  • Cover garden stakes.  Using garden stakes to mark various plants is only natural and wise.  Having a child trip and fall on those stakes make it not such a wise idea, by placing a tennis ball over the top of the stakes will prevent an injury from happening on an accidental fall.

  • Play fetch.  Tennis balls make get toys for your dog or puppy.  Start by lightly tossing a tennis ball to your new puppy, this gets them familiar with chasing the tennis ball.  After awhile your puppy will grow into a dog and will chase and retrieve the ball.

Use your imagination and create make interesting ideas to use a tennis ball.  Using tennis balls out of the ordinary is helpful, less expensive and may help reduce the time you’d spend on household chores.
