- A useful rubber band. The elastic waste of the panty hose or nylons make a great durable rubber band. Use this strong rubber band anywhere you’d use a regular rubber band.
- Use as a scouring rag. Use old nylons as a non-abrasive scouring rag. You will get a shiny and clean looking house.
- Use as an engine belt. Keeping a pair of nylons in the trunk of your car can come in very useful. If your engine belt breaks try using a pair of old nylons or panty hose for a quick fix. This will get you by until you get to the garage or the auto part store for a repair.
- Soap on a rope. With a pair of nylons or panty hose you can create soap on a rope. The foot part of the nylon can be cut off and place the soap in this part. Cut off the elastic part of the waste band and fasten to the opening part of the foot. This secures the soap and adds a long handle to hang on your showerhead.
