Sprucing Up Your Marriage - Continued

• Always be there for your partner.  Nothing is more important than your spouse.  You always should have the time for your spouse; they should come first and foremost in your life.  A good solid relationship is the base to a happy family.

• Treat your spouse with respect.  Never take advantage of your spouse.  Be sure to treat your spouse with the same respect you would any of your friends.  Your spouse should be first.  Never put anyone before your spouse.

When your marriage seems to be routine just spruce it up become creative and romantic.  Put that romance back in your relationship that you once had when you first met.  A relationship always needs work stuck in it by both partners.  If just one partner is putting all the work in it and getting nothing out is it likely to fail.  Waiting until it fails is not the time to try to repair it.  Both sides working together to keep your marriage fun and interesting, romantic and exciting will keep your marriage as strong as it was the day you said “I Do”.  You children will also learn from your example.  If your marriage is strong they are more likely to follow that lead and work on keeping their marriage strong when they get married. 

Remember to take a little time alone away with your spouse, bring out the romantic side in you and your spouse.  Having a good marriage leads to a happy life!
