Rewarding Employees - Continued

Continued from Rewarding Employees

Rewarding employees does not mean that you have to give cash all the time. It could be in other forms, such as in comfortable desks, chairs, computers, phones and carpeting in their offices that does make a difference. If an office is outdated, the employee feels as if they are not ‘good’ enough for a better environment. Making their office better, is investing in your business space, while rewarding the employee at the same time.

What are the best ways to reward employees? Giving money that they can spend is always at the top of their list. Benefits such as a cellular phone, a company car and a lap top computer are others. Recognition of a job well done is another form of reward. Giving employees a portion of the business shares, or stocks is another method of rewarding top employees. Freedom, time off, or flexible lunch hours is another form of rewarding employees who are doing a great job. Fun and prizes are rewards that can be given at any time of the year when an employee really does something out of the ordinary that is beneficial for the entire business.

Tickets to the movies, clubs, or gift certificates give the employees freedom from the business but fun at the same time that they can enjoy without having to think about work. Employees’ value free items and will work to get your attention by doing even a better job next time.

Don’t forget that what your employees want to hear you say those words “Good Job!”
