An oldie but goodie in changing how your house looks and feels when you walk through it is changing the curtains in your home. You can change the colors of your rooms, the feel of a room, and the light in a room by changing the curtains that hang in the room, any room in the house. You can go from flowers, to stripes, to solids, heavy, light, drapes, or shears, there are many choices that will change how you feel about being in any room in your home.

If you want to change feel of your home, you can add flowers, plants or you can add new types of knick-knacks through your home. There are all types of collections, displays, and sizes of plants or knick knacks that you can put out for display in the house that are going to change how you feel about your home and what you do in any room. You can put different collections out for different seasons of the year.

A simple way to change how you feel about your home, and to spruce it up is to change the scent of your home. You can do this by adding a few potpourri pots through the rooms or you can put scented candles in different rooms. Changing the scents that you have in the rooms is going to make your home seem a bit different and new.

What is going to make your home feel different to you and your family? Leave home for a few days, leave for a little vacation where you stay somewhere else. You would be surprised at how fresh and exciting your home can seem when you return home.

  • Put fresh flowers on the table.
  • Use a different tablecloth every week.
  • Put a vase of colored water on the counter, a different color for every day.
  • Use different background music in your home daily to make the house feel different.
  • Change the colors or the brightness of your light bulbs.
  • Use a different set of dishes, the ones that you never use!
  • Change the glasses in the cupboard; the coffee cups that you use every morning.
  • Put balloons in the corner, tied with a ribbon just because you can!
