Making Your Days Longer - ContinuedContinued from Making Your Days LongerMotivate others for success so you can get more done. If you have a house cleaner, offer bonuses for extra things to be done. If your kids need to work harder on their own homework, offer a reward if you do not have to sit and work with them the entire time they are working on homework. Maybe a glass of chocolate milk when they are finished will speed their ability to work on their own. Children can help when they aren’t busy. Have your kids sort the laundry, sweep the floor, feed the dog or cat, walk the dog, play with the bird, mow the grass, pull weeds or shovel the walkway. You don’t have to do it all and if your kids are old enough (old enough to want to buy things) you can pay them to do things for an allowance which will really help you out. Don’t have kids of your own? Hire the neighbor kids for chores that you can’t find the time to do yourself. One sure fire way to make the day slow down, to get more out of your time during the day is to simply do nothing. Sit and make yourself still, watch television, listen to the radio, watch traffic or sit on the porch. Doing nothing will make your time, your day seem to slow down because you are not going to be so stressed for the entire time you are awake. Really does work!
