Maintaining Your New Car - Continued

Continued from Maintaining Your New Car

  • Both front and back brakes should be routinely checked at least once a year.

  • If you’re a smoker you may want to consider doing so outside of your car, smoke smell and tar can be very hard to remove from the car upholstery.  A stray ash often has a way of burning a hole in your carpet or car seats.

Be sure to keep a regular logbook of when you have had routine oil changes, oil filters, air filters, tires rotated and other maintenance services.  This logbook is a great idea, if you would ever get rid of your car; it proves the car was well maintained.

Highways are much easier on cars.  The stopping and starting on the local roads is hard on your new car or any car for that matter.  Take the freeway when ever possible.

Taking care of your car with regular services and driving with great care and responsibility will prolong the life of your car and get the most out of your great investment.
