The toilet cleaner works great but at the same time I tried another suggestion made by the same person. So you can try them together or separately to see which will work for you. This is a little easier for large coverage areas. At my house we had hornets, wasp and yellow jackets always building nest up under our eaves and at our doorways. We would routinely knock them down by spraying them with water and then run like crazy, but these ridiculous little buggers would just start to rebuild the very next day or even the same day. So we tried this in those areas and found it very effective and economically cheap. Purchase an empty spray bottle (they’re like a dollar at your local dollar store) fill the empty bottle with lemon dish detergent and water. Don’t water it down to much but enough that it’ll spray out easily. Apply this spray up under eaves, along hand railings, doorways, swing set, barbecue grill, picnic table and any other spot that bees, wasp, hornets and yellow jackets build their nests.
Someone suggested hairspray and we’ve tried that but it only gave us a minute or two until they were right back. So hairspray just gave us a few minutes to duck away from them and get out of the way.
We are now able to enjoy or patio after 6 years. My children and swing on their swing set with out the screaming and running away from the flying bees. I really did think that putting toilet cleaners around my patio area sounded like the most foolish idea that I ever heard of but I am truly grateful. I also have the best smelling patio in the neighborhood.
I hope it works as good for you as it has for me!!

It works GREEAATT! We would have to run into our home through the front door because of swarming bees; now, THE BEES ARE GONE! The scent is pleasing, not one I want in my home, but it's good for outdoors.
LOL,

THANK YOU!!!! I hope and pray that it works. My husband has never been allergic to bees and 2 summers ago he was stung by a yellow jacket in the forearm. We treated it as we always have and as the night went on the poison had traveled up to the underarm area and swelled up to a golf ball size and was getting bigger. We took him to the emergency room and the doctor said that he was lucky that he didn't wait til the morning to come in because it would have traveled to his heart by then. He is now severely allergic to them. I have to carry Benadryl and Epi pens everywhere we go. We live in the country and and enjoy being outside weather its sitting on the deck enjoying the view, playing with the kids in the yard or working in the garden even cutting the grass is dangerous for him. I am praying this works because I feel i have run out of options. I promise I will leave another comment to let you now if it worked for usor not.Thank You again!!

I have had a problem with bees swarming my hummingbird feeders. Will the tolilet bowl cleaner repel hummingbirds?
George Says: I think that only trial and error will answer that. |

Every year, we have an exterminator come out for our bee problem and still each year, my children are stung. Last summer we found out the hard way that my youngest is SEVERELY ALLERGIC to bees. I was happy to see winter arrive and a little sad to see spring this year as I'm nervous for my son.
I am anxious to try your method and heading to the store to stock-up on toilet bowl cleaners for our entire yard. I will let you know how well it works.
Thanks for the tip!!!!!!! |

We just brought a house and while I can't wait for the summer to begin, I also know the summer brings bees! I will give this a try. I don't want to have to grab my 1 year old running scared every few minutes!
Thank you!!!! |
