How to Make Money Selling Recipes - Continued

If you are unsure about where to start, make a listing of the books that you see out there in the shopping malls, and what you find most interesting yourself. What type of recipe book would your friends love the most, and how big is the market that you can reach involving this specific topic?

The bigger the market that you are going to be able to please, the more people are going to purchase your book. If you are targeting a small group, say southern single men who are wanting great southern cooking in a crock pot, your market may be smaller than crock pot cooking for men who want meat and potatoes. Research your market and think twice about the type of recipe book you are going to put together before getting to far involved. 

Set yourself a few goals. As you are getting started, think about when you want to be finished. Set yourself goals in how many hours you have to work a week, and how you are going to come up with the recipes, the photos and the information that you are going to include in the recipe book. 

This is a project that you can continue to build on, and put new ones out every year or two. Use your sales list to sell to old customers, and to build up a new client listing. While you may sell only a few in the beginning the process will build a nice second income if you are persistent in what you do and how you create your recipes to meet the markets needs.
