Holiday Christmas Spending - ContinuedContinued from Holiday Christmas SpendingMake a list and have everyone bring something different that way there are no duplicates or anything left out. If you want to have a dinner and do not want the guest to have to bring anything, then make the food yourself. Caterers are too expensive. Enlist the help of your family members that are hanging around, or get some friends together and make the food together. It will be more fun that way and lessen the burden on you. Organize a secret Santa at work. If gift giving is getting out of hand at work, then do the secret Santa option. Everyone will draw someone else’s name from a hat and that way you are buying one gift, and it makes it fun to figure out who has your name. For your boss and managers or supervisors, a good way to get them something nice is for all the employees to contribute an equal amount of money and put it together and assign someone to buy one big gift. That takes the pressure off what to get your boss for Christmas. Guard yourself from a thief. Be extra security conscious around the holidays. Thieves are just waiting for any opportunity to get at your goodies that you have bought or received for the holidays. It is a good idea to invest in a cheap timer that you can purchase in any store and set it for your lights to come on at dusk. This could prevent you from loosing your holiday spirit.
