Cutting the costs of Moving - Continued

Continued from Cutting the costs of Moving

Remember you can go to just about any grocery or hardware store and ask for boxes. You don’t have to buy boxes to move as there is always a plentiful amount in the stores that have to stock their shelves. Use newspapers you have been collecting for a few weeks to pack items that require packing material. Newspapers can be shredded and wrapped around items for protection and you don’t have to buy a thing.

Mailing objects to yourself for a trip across the country can sometimes be expensive, but if you were to mail these items in packages that are going the slow route, media mail or if you were to send the packages using the slowest means to your new destination you can often find a great savings when using the post office or similar types of delivery services.

Make the task of moving an easier one and make use of labeling the items that you are moving. When you are unpacking and the boxes are at least in the rooms where you want them to be the entire process is going to be much easier instead of having to go through each box and wondering what is really placed in that box.

Have a great time moving, and remember – before long it will all be over and you will be in your new place!
