A spider plant is an easy to care for plant that is somewhat like a vine plant, as it will grow shooting off roots, and not needing additional soil to support these roots. The spider plant is often in a handing basket. Watering this plant just once a week and putting it in an area from dim to mid light areas it will grow with little help.

A snake plant is one that will endure most all types of light, water and heat. If you have the opportunity look at a snake plant the next time you are in a nursery. While there are no flowers on this plant, it does add a good thriving greenery color to your home even during those cold winter months.
