Around The House Tips - Continued

Continued from Around The House Tips

To clean your bathtub or shower, use some powdered laundry detergent with bleach in it.  Or you can fill the bathtub up with water and add a half a gallon of bleach and let it soak.   You can also put an alka seltzer in the toilet, let it fizz and it will clean your toilet for you.  To make your porcelain or plastic sinks look clean and shinny, fill them up with hot water and add a few drops of dawn dishwashing liquid.  Let it sit and then empty it and rinse well.  It will look new and clean.  When you clean your windows or glass use a coffee filter instead of a paper towel, they will keep the window streak free and it won’t leave any lint behind.

A great tool to have in you house is a toothbrush.  You can use one of these anywhere.  They get into cracks and corners easily and scrub the dirt away.

If you get grease or dirt on your hands, mix up a some flour and salt and water together, no you are not making pizza, rub the mixture together and work into your hands.  After you are done, the grease will come off with the mixture.

There are so many different uses for everything; all you have to do is experiment.  Try new things and use what you have lying around the house to save you some money.
