For the average person working away from home is all we know. Many of us have the desire to be our own boss and I say go for it!! If you have the motivation and energy to put your all into your own business then you have what it takes to work from home and be your own boss.
Being your own boss is great in many ways you do not have to answer to anyone else and you pick the times and hours you would like to work. You can set your own vacation time and work around your children’s activities.
Although being your own boss and working at home have many advantages it may also have some disadvantages also. These disadvantages may be problems that can be stopped before they even get started. The most important problem is the misinterpretation from other family members and friends. When you elect to quit your job to become your own boss many people interpret that as I quitting to stay home and do nothing at all. You will find yourself doing favors that include running to the store, babysitting when friends need a little help or what ever family and friends find more convenient having someone else do. You need to set everyone straight from the beginning by setting particular hours in which you will be in your home office and are not to be disturbed. Be sure to stay firm and say no, “I have to work”. Staying firm from the beginning will let friends and family know from the start that you will not sacrifice your work duties to do favors at times when you should be working.
If you change your schedule around for your children and school advents you will need to make that time up by working at another time.
Many of us have a passion deep inside ourselves that need to be examined to ultimately choose what goal we have in our lives. So many jobs and businesses can be run from our very own homes. Examples of some business ideas are as follows:
- If you are one that loves working with children. Then opening a daycare or starting a pre-school may be one of the answers for you. You’ll need to research all the state laws and local regulations but it’ll be worth the time and effort you’ve stuck into it. Putting your name on that daycare will be your ultimate reward. Think big never settle for less than what you want.
