Water is a very important part of our everyday diet. How much water should we drink. I know I have often wandered why I should drink water, and what exactly does it do for my body? For some people, drinking water is a very small part of their diet at all. I admit, the taste is somewhat boring and there is no sugar or caffeine that most of us need or want in what we drink; however if you only knew what you are not getting by simply having a few glasses of water a day.
All living things need water to grow and be healthy. Plants and trees need water to grow and be healthy. When you see plants and trees that the leaves are turning brown and wilting, they need water. The same is true for humans and animals. We must drink water to survive and keep our longevity.
The human body is made up of mostly water, in fact, our body is made up of over seventy percent of water, the brain is made up of over seventy-fiver percent water and our liver is made up of over ninety-five percent water. Our bodies are programmed to live on water and the nutrients that we get from clean healthy water everyday. Every function of and organ in the body depends on a water supply. We need water to keep everything in our body running properly. Water also is a big part of our immune system.
Water keeps our brain and nervous system running at top rate. It cleanses our body and keeps our body pure. Our energy level is also affected by how much water we consume. You might think that caffeine is the main key in keeping us going and giving us energy; that certainly is true, however, you need the water to help our liver metabolize fat into usable energy. The more water you drink, the more you will gain energy.
