We all know the proper use for coffee filters but there is such a wide range of uses for coffee filters. You’ll never look at a coffee filter the same after reading this article. It’s such a simple thing but the uses for the coffee filter are unlimited. The following are ways to use coffee filters out of the norm:
- Try using coffee filters to hold your tacos. When my family has tacos we use coffee filters to hold them securely together instead of having our tacos spreading out losing the taco stuffing.
- The same is true for a hot dog. A hot dog fits nicely in a coffee filter and will hold the hotdog securely in the hotdog bun along with the added condiments.
- For a streak free shine use a coffee filter along with glass cleaner. Since a coffee filter has very little lint your windows will have an unbeatable streak free shine.
- Since a coffee filter works well on windows they also work great on eyeglasses. Just use a plain coffee filter without any glass cleaner. If necessary use warm water to clean off any grime.
- Coffee filters work so well to pack away your fine china. Just place one or two coffee filters in between the fine china plates and pack away. The coffee filters will keep your fine china from chipping and breaking.
- If deep-frying is your specialty try using coffee filters to strain your oil. Deep-frying oil will collect unwanted breadcrumbs and other food debris. You’ll need to change or clean this oil on a regular basis for clean fried food. By using a coffee filter you will be able to strain the breadcrumbs and etc from the oil. By straining the oil you will be able to save hundreds of dollars.
- Polishing shoes. You can polish your shoes with coffee filters by apply the polish to your shoes and gently rubbing the polish in with the coffee filter. Since coffee filters are lint free you’ll get a nice clean shine to your shoes without the added fuzziness that rags or paper towels would normally leave behind.
- Use as small bowls to divide up ingredients. Keep the mess down in the kitchen by using coffee filters instead of dirtying bowls. When making cookies use the coffee filters to hold your ingredients such as cocoa, nuts, chocolate chips, flour or other dry ingredients. After adding the ingredients to your cookie mix simply toss away the coffee filter and keep your kitchen clean and mess free. Do the same for ingredient such as chopped vegetables including celery, peppers or onions. Onions have a way of stinking up any bowl or container that you use so use a simple coffee filter and toss out when done this leaves your kitchen smelling as fresh as it was before you started.
