De Junking – where you might not realize you have stuff!
Avg. Visitors Review (4.0 Stars):

Stuff is what clutters your home, car, office and your garage. To help you learn more about what types of stuff you can get rid of, and what types of stuff you should really consider getting rid of, I have compiled a listing of topics that will help you realize just where all these things came from. Don’t forget, the more you get rid of, the less you store in your house, the more room you have and the cleaner your home will appear to be and it will stay that way longer!  So read on for some great ideas on what to get rid of.

Your wallet or purse
These are great places to start in cutting clutter. Do you ever feel as if you have to search for what you want? If you do, it is time to cut the clutter. Get rid of everything that you don’t use everyday, or at least every week. If you are putting more in your purse or wallet than you need to use when you leave the house you are carrying around just too much stuff. If you have more than three lucky charms, get rid of them, one is really all you need! If you are carrying expired cards, expired photos, or expired club cards, get them out of there and make room for real stuff that you use all the time. Mini flashlights, extra tissues, too much change, and old lipsticks or chaps sticks should be slivered down to carry just one.

If the brief case getting to be too heavy to carry about? Go through all those old papers, and carry just what you are working on this week. Too much stuff in the briefcase can make you appear very unorganized and very messy. Slim down what you carry so you can easily find what you need and just when you need it.

Jewelry boxes are another place that you should be looking to when you want to get rid of stuff that you just don’t wear, want or need any longer. Treasures from years gone past are just that, the past. Keep what you have worn in the last year, and if you haven’t worn it in the last year you most likely just don’t need it.

If you are keeping items that are very valuable, putting them in a safe or in a safety deposit box might be just where you should have these items. If you have a lot of jewelry that you wear just for every day you might want to consider keeping just a few pieces that you treasure the most. Too many pieces of ornamental jewelry can make those decisions harder to make, thinner them out you will have a much easier time.

Junk drawers are always a good place to get started when you want to rid the house of things you just don’t use. Most all of use put things in the drawers that we just don’t need, thinking we are going to use them again some day, half old batteries, some old strings, magnets, boxes, papers and such – but really if you were going to use them you should have already done so. Throw out those things you just don’t use like half working markers, pencils too small to write with and such and you will find that your drawers will be cleaner, neater and you will have less to worry about organizing all the time!

The bulletin board or the message center is another place where things just seem to gather. Papers from months ago and messages from weeks ago really don’t need to be kept. Keeping a paper with a listing of most often called numbers is all you really need to have in this area. If you like to keep bills on the board, get rid of what is not bills and throw them out. Only those bills that will be paid should be kept. If you have a receipt, a paper, or any other type of paper it should not be kept in such an active center.
