Most household toilets are made of porcelain. The seat and lid are sold separately and for the most part made up of heavy plastic. Cleaning a toilet can be one of the most unlikable jobs in the whole house.
A porcelain toilet can hold up quite well but you may experience some staining inside your toilet bowl. The porcelain that a toilet is constructed up as is similar to the material that some false teeth is constructed with. The same method you have for cleaning your false teeth may work just as well with the stains in your toilet bowl.
First start by flushing your toilet then drop two denture cleaner tablets down in the toilet bowl. The denture tablets will fizz and dissolve in the water, as the tables fizz and dissolve the cleaning process is taking place. This works best over night. In the morning just brush clean with the toilet brush and flush.
Another method that cleans your toilet in a fraction of the time is Alka-Seltzer. Start off by flushing your toilet and dropping two Alka-Seltzer tablets into the toilet bowl. Wait only twenty minutes, brush with a toilet brush and flush. The citric acid and bubbling action will clean your toilet and remove stains with little or no effort.
After cleaning your toilet and getting it stain-free try getting that bathroom mirror clean and streak free. Several glass cleaners claim to be streak free but I haven’t had good results. I’ve tries several different methods and found them more effective then plan glass cleaners.
First try applying your bathroom mirror with shaving cream. After the shaving cream has been applied than wipe clean with a newspaper. This not only leaves your mirror clean and streak free it will also leave it steam free. That’s right after showering if a steaming mirror is a problem for you then shaving cream is your answer to a steam free mirror. Who would have figured something so inexpensive could be so effective in cleaning. You could also have a clean streak free mirror for just pennies.
